Mechanic Assistant
In liaison with the workshop manager, you will:
• Assess customers’ bikes, and identify issues, problems, and need for repair and maintenance.
• Communicate repair and maintenance needs to customers, and provide them with correlating cost projections.
• Provide customers with timelines regarding delivery of their bikes, after processes have been completed.
• Repair bikes, according to shop process, and check them for safety and functionality.
• Prior to starting work on a bike, thoroughly inspect it for repairs required and assessed if it whether worth doing.
• Identify faults, damages, and wear and tear in old bikes, and provide customers with suggestions on how to handle them.
• Carry out repairs such as replacing damaged or worn-out components, and fixing punctures.
• Handle wheel truing and accessories fitting activities, and carry out routine services and safety checks.
• Clean, degrease, and lubricate bicycles and components, and advise customers regarding work that their bicycles require.
• Ascertain that all repair and maintenance jobs are properly logged into the shop system.
You might be asked time to time to serve customers at this occasion, you will be responsible for:
* Welcomes customers by greeting them; offering them assistance.
* Respond to customers’ concerns and queries in a positive, objective and polite manner
* Directs customers to bikes or accessories racks and counters; suggesting items.
* Advises customers by providing information on products.
* Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
* Processes payments by totalling purchases; processing cash, or credit cards.
* Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Keeping the shop clean, uncluttered and well presented, for a great customer experience.
For this position you are required to work on weekends
Salesperson

Repair puncture on the spot, fit tyre, fit accessories.
